Finals went fine! Aside from the fact that I almost died three times trying to get to school on Thursday (everywhere else was closed due to black ice coating the whole city), it was uneventful. The doughnuts were basically the reason that I continued on. Two people in our department did break their wrists though, and then there was a rather hilarious speaker phone conversation in which Miranda called her practical partner to curse the world/say that she'd be late due to flatting out. We're such supportive friends. And so yes, there were moments of flipping through papers to try to find a fact, but there were lots of bright spots in the week too.

Now I'm home, and the song is right...there's no place like home for the holidays! It's been wonderful so far. It's really good to see and hang out with some friends (more come home next week, now that a lot have jobs), and it's really really fun hanging out with the fam. Mom and Dad have only gotten funnier since I've gone away. It's a good thing, because a sense of humor has definitely been necessary this week (everything in our house is basically blowing up-freezer, crock pot, stove-complete with flames coming out of the knobs, computer, shower all within a matter of hours).

Anyhow, probably not a lot to update the next few weeks. It's so nice to have a break though! Hope your days are wonderful!
