Sometimes being in OT school is mind-numbingly boring (that's how I felt Tuesday and Wednesday morning).

Sometimes it's awesome!

Here's a sample of the cool parts of this week:

-Going to the WU autopsy lab and for a presentation and live brain dissection (also saw brain harvesting). It was both incredible and disgusting. I don't get queasy easily, but it was a lot different than dissecting a cadaver, and it was sad seeing pathology. Still, holding a human brain in your hands...
-Learned to do a wheelie in a wheelchair (among other things). LOVE this professor.
-First home eval for our environments class. It was in a facility for low-income, African-American seniors. Three students were assigned to one person. Ours was Thelma, who was really a fun, spunky old lady. It was cool being out in the community!
