Pujols still gave this city something incredible. And so did we: a chance. I think that he is thankful of that, but ready to move on to the big bucks. He didn't "look" like a ball player, but he ended up being one of the dark horses of the decade. For years, we really did underpay him. He was far from being the highest paid player on the team. 


I can't blame the Cardinals. You know they tried their best to rectify that now. And with Craig, Jay and Freese "only" making $400,000, it'd be nice to stand a chance at retaining them, too, when the time comes. They're all going to be deserving of multi-million dollar contracts soon. It's a sad day, but it's part of baseball. When you're the one acquiring, it's a happy day.


So yes, onward we move. I'm sure all the newscasters will underestimate the cardinals again this year, because a lack of Pujols, so that part is cool. We have waino coming back, and some big bats. 2012 CARDINALS.
